Our cups are crafted from sustainably-sourced paper, and the lining (along with the lid) is made from PLA – an organic plastic derived from vegetables. Why PLA? While our cups proudly wear the label of "compostable," they're not destined for your backyard compost heap. The composting process requires higher temperatures for proper breakdown, so our cups are designed to head to purpose-made facilities. In New Zealand, we're thrilled to be part of a growing movement, with 12 commercial composting operations and counting. You can drop off your used cups directly or, for added convenience, sign up for home collection.
